Reblogged: What are Adult Day Services?

According to a recent study, more than a quarter million participants attend an estimated 4,800 community-based ADS or Adult Day Services centers in the United States. These centers provide coordinated and reliable services and supports. The services offered include personal care, meals, social activities, supervision during the day and medication management.

Adult Day Services are good example of person-and-family-centered care with a mission to provide supportive services for adults with functional limitations and as well as their family caregivers.

Caregivers will greatly appreciate ADS since it enables them to remain in the labor force and thus helping them create a financially secured future.

Those who are looking at different long term care options should consider ADS and find out if this facilities can satisfy their future care needs.
